We provide assessment and treatment for patients who need a tooth removed, including wisdom teeth and more complex extractions. Our aim is to explain your options clearly, keep you comfortable and plan the most appropriate care for your individual needs.

Every case begins with a clinical assessment. Dental X-rays or CBCT imaging may be recommended where appropriate. We will discuss the available options, expected benefits, possible risks and costs before any treatment is arranged. If hospital or specialist care would be more appropriate, we will explain this and arrange or recommend onward referral.
Meet Dr Oliver Turner
Oral surgery care is provided by Dr Oliver Turner, Joint Principal Dentist (GDC No. 309665). Oliver has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Oral Surgery at the University of Bristol and is currently undertaking further postgraduate diploma training in Oral Surgery.
Oliver has a special interest in oral surgery and provides carefully planned treatment for patients at The Treatment Centre. He also welcomes referrals from dental colleagues for suitable cases.
Feeling nervous about treatment?
Dental anxiety is common, and you will never be judged for feeling worried. We will take time to listen, explain each stage and help you feel in control.
For suitable patients, intravenous sedation may be available for surgical dental treatment following a separate assessment. Sedation is led by Dr Brian Needham, a dentist and former paramedic who is certified by Dental Phobia.
What to expect
1. Surgical consultation
We will listen to your concerns, review your dental and medical history, examine the area and assess any available X-rays. Further imaging may be recommended where clinically appropriate.
2. Your treatment plan
We will explain whether treatment can be provided at The Treatment Centre, the options available, likely costs and what to expect during recovery. Treatment is only arranged after a satisfactory assessment and informed consent.
3. Treatment and aftercare
Most extractions are carried out using local anaesthetic. If you are particularly anxious or your treatment is more involved, IV sedation may be considered following an individual sedation assessment. You will receive clear written and verbal aftercare advice.

Can you remove wisdom teeth at the practice?
We can assess wisdom teeth and treat suitable cases at the practice. The position of the tooth, your health and the complexity of the procedure will determine the safest setting. Some patients may be advised to have treatment in hospital or with a registered specialist.
Can my dentist refer me?
Yes. We welcome referrals from dental colleagues for suitable oral surgery cases. After treatment, we will provide a report and return you to your referring dentist for ongoing care.
Can I have sedation for an extraction?
IV sedation may be available for suitable patients following a separate assessment. It can help people who feel very anxious or who need a longer or more involved procedure.
How much will treatment cost?
The cost depends on the assessment, imaging required and complexity of treatment. We will provide a clear written estimate before you decide whether to proceed.
