Good to know
Common questions.
Why do I need a full dental examination?
Your dentist must check your mouth is healthy and decide whether whitening is suitable before prescribing it.
Can the Treatment Coordinator prescribe whitening?
No. The complimentary consultation is informational. Diagnosis, suitability and prescription remain with the dentist.
Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some people experience temporary sensitivity. Follow your instructions and contact us if you are uncomfortable.
Will crowns, fillings or veneers whiten?
No. Whitening lightens natural teeth, not existing restorations. Your dentist will explain any likely shade difference.
Who should not have cosmetic whitening?
Cosmetic whitening is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not provided during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and tooth or gum problems must be treated first.
Can I order more gel later?
Top-up gel requires current clinical checks and a valid prescription. We will arrange a review if needed.
