DIGITAL DENTISTRY IN TRURO
Modern technology, personal care with every plan shaped around you
Digital dentistry helps us capture detailed information, explain your options clearly and plan treatment with care. It can make some appointments more comfortable and support precise communication with dental laboratories.
The technology supports our clinical judgement—it never replaces listening. We choose digital scans or imaging only when they are useful for your individual care and explain what each record will help us understand.
What digital dentistry can mean for you
Digital impressions
An iTero intra-oral scanner can create a detailed three-dimensional record of your teeth without traditional impression material in many suitable cases.
See what we see
Digital records can help us show you your teeth, explain our findings and compare reasonable treatment options in a way that is easier to understand.
Treatment designed carefully
Scans and appropriate imaging can support planning for Invisalign, restorative dentistry, dentures, implants and other treatments.
Connected laboratory care
Secure digital information can help our clinicians and dental technicians communicate clearly when designing suitable restorations or dentures.
How we use digital dentistry
Invisalign planning
Digital scanning and ClinCheck software help plan tooth movement and allow suitable patients to explore how their smile could change. Explore Invisalign in Truro.
Digital dentures
Digital records can support the design and manufacture of dentures, with the process tailored to your mouth, comfort and clinical needs. Learn about digital dentures.
CBCT and OPG
Where clinically justified, CBCT and OPG imaging provide information that ordinary dental X-rays cannot. We also accept professional imaging referrals. Visit our referrals page.
Restorative and implant care
Digital records may support communication and planning for crowns, onlays, bridges, implants and other tailored treatment. Explore restorative dentistry.

Frequently asked questions
Does a digital scan replace dental impressions?
It can replace traditional impressions for many treatments, but not every case. Your clinician will choose the method that provides the best information for your individual care.
Do all patients need a CBCT scan?
No. CBCT is a three-dimensional X-ray and is only recommended when the expected clinical benefit justifies the exposure. We will explain why it is needed before arranging it.
Can I see my digital scan?
Yes. Where useful, we can show you the scan and use it to explain findings or treatment options. It is one tool within a full clinical assessment.
Does digital dentistry mean same-day treatment?
Not necessarily. Some records can be sent to a laboratory quickly, but treatment times depend on the clinical work, design, manufacture and checks required. We will give you a realistic timescale.
Are digital dentures suitable for everyone?
They may be suitable for many patients, but the best workflow depends on your mouth, existing dentures and treatment goals. An assessment is needed before we recommend an approach.
Would digital dentistry help you?
Book an examination or contact our team and we will guide you towards the right appointment.
