Continuing to keep you safe during Covid-19 restrictions
The Treatment Centre would like to reassure you that our practice is a safe place to be.
We have excellent infection control procedures along with a robust triaging policy to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
Our Dentists and nurses are trained in oral health care but also in prevention and control of infection. Dental practices are well-versed in providing safe care, having practised cross-infection control for many years and having routinely utilised personal protective equipment.
What next?
Please be assured that we are working within the current guidelines issued by the government and are doing our best to help our patients wherever possible.
Please refer to the BDA (British dental association) link for further information on current dental guidelines – https://www.bda.org/advice/Coronavirus/Pages/patients.aspx
We continue to recommend that patients in the high-risk and very high-risk categories for COVID-19 delay non-essential treatment until further guidance has been given by relevant authorities.
When contacting the practice, you may be offered a phone call with one of our dentists. This will determine the urgency and order of your treatment resulting in advice being given over the telephone, or the arrangement of an appointment if the dentist deems it necessary.
Our receptionists are also doing their best to ensure that priority cases are treated as soon as possible. Thank you for continuing to treat all of our staff with respect; we understand that this is an usual and stressful time and appreciate your continued patience.
Managing appointments –
Appointments are managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This may mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
If you have an appointment arranged, please expect to be contacted the day before your appointment by our reception team to carry out COVID screening questions a brief outline of what to expect when visiting the practice.
Hygienist appointments are now available, with Kay and Annelise offering hand scale treatment on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. To book an appointment please contact our reception team on 01872 241955, alternatively by emailing info@thetreatmentcentre.co.uk.
When you arrive:
Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for an appointment due to social distancing guidelines.
We advise that you wear a mask at all times while inside the dental practice and only remove your mask at the request of one of our team members.
As you enter the building we will ask you to use alcohol disinfectant rub to disinfect your hands.
The Treatment rooms will be prepared prior to your appointment with all surfaces disinfected after each patient. The air purification/exchange units will continue to be used throughout the day. We have sourced PPE and unlike the start of the pandemic (March 2020 in the UK) there is no shortage.
We can assure you that we will continue to maintain high standards of cross infection control and that we are doing our best to ensure your continued dental health and wellbeing.
Thank you for continuing to support our practice.
