Dental Hygiene
Dental Hygiene is essential for a healthy smile and overall well-being. Professional cleanings help prevent gum disease, cavities and support long-term oral health.

Helping you maintain a healthy smile
Our hygienists focus on preventing and treating gum disease. This includes professionally cleaning your teeth to remove plaque and tartar, a procedure often called a ‘scale and polish’. Just as importantly, they’ll show you how to keep your teeth clean at home, helping you prevent the buildup of plaque, the sticky film that forms on your teeth. You’ll also receive advice on diet and tips for preventing tooth decay.
Our hygienists can help if:
Your teeth are stained
You have signs of gum disease
You find it hard to maintain good oral hygiene
You need advice on keeping your teeth and gums healthy
Treatment Options
Standard Clean
£82
Our standard clean removes plaque and calculus (tartar) from your teeth and gums using an ultrasonic scaler or by hand if you prefer. This thorough cleaning helps maintain healthy gums and leaves your teeth feeling smooth and looking polished.
For membership plan patients, this clean is included as part of your plan, so be sure to take advantage of it to keep your smile in top condition. If you are not registered with The Treatment Centre but you would like to benefit from our dental hygienist services, you can now book a direct access dental hygiene appointment.
Enhanced Clean with Airflow Technology
£102
Airflow is an advanced dental cleaning treatment that uses a combination of warm water, air, and a fine powder to gently and effectively remove:
Stubborn surface stains from tea, coffee, red wine, and smoking
Soft plaque build-up, even in hard-to-reach areas
Bacteria from deep periodontal pockets and around implants
Airflow is not designed to remove hard calculus (tartar). If calculus is present, your hygienist will first remove it using ultrasonic or hand instruments, then follow with Airflow for a complete clean and polish.
For membership plan patients, Airflow can be added to your hygiene visit for £20.
Periodontal Therapy
£164 per hour
Periodontal therapy is the professional treatment of gum disease — a common condition caused by a build-up of plaque and bacteria around the teeth and gums. Left untreated, gum disease can lead to gum recession, bone loss, loose teeth, and even tooth loss. For patients needing a deeper clean to treat periodontal (gum) disease, we offer extended appointments tailored to your needs.
Treatment includes:
Detailed gum assessment – measuring pocket depths around the teeth and monitoring changes over time.
Deep cleaning (root surface debridement) – removing plaque, bacteria, and hard deposits from above and below the gumline using ultrasonic and fine hand instruments. Local anaesthetic may be used to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
Oral hygiene guidance – personalised advice on brushing, interdental cleaning, and products that will help maintain your gums at home.
Follow-up care – review appointments to monitor healing and prevent recurrence.
